Winegrowers by passion
He and his brother-in-law passionately cultivate one hectare of vineyard in Oltrepò Pavese. Their production is designed for four families and the aim is to keep the wine as pure as possible.
The vineyard is located on the cucuzzolo of Tortona, in the heart of an area with a strong viticultural vocation.
The drama of downy mildew
Last year the peronospora It hit hard: it has dried up the 80% of production. For those who cultivate in such a restricted way, two consecutive years without harvest would mean the end of the project.
The fear of repeating that experience is understandable and prompts us to look for concrete solutions to protect the vineyard, in his case: Safe vineyard.
A positive season
This year, things went differently. The grapes turned out well and the harvest yielded positive results. At the moment they are satisfied with the result obtained.
The Value of Direct Council
What they seek, and appreciate, is the possibility of having direct monitoring, a voice that guides them in understanding if the problem is actually what they think.
They don't want generic automatic answers but practical, personalized support to help them make the right decisions on the ground.
Full Testimony
It's me and my brother-in-law, we're passionate winemakers. We have a land of one hectare and we are making wine for four families. We want to keep this wine as pure as possible.
We have the vineyard on the Tortona cucuzzolo, right in the centre of Oltrepò Pavese, where they make so much wine.
Last year the downy mildew destroyed us: it has dried up the 80% of our product. If something like this still happens to us, that is, two years without production, we no longer have wine.
This year’s grapes were beautiful. We harvested on Sunday and I have to say that everything went well. We are currently satisfied.
It is essential to be able to advise me orally with you and understand if that problem is that or not, because otherwise if something is automatically answered to me, the 90% I repeat, in my case this is not what I wanted to be told.
