Winning the Co‑Innovation Award as part of Basilicata Pitch2Pitch (promoted by Joule — ENI’s school — with Politecnico di Milano, PoliHub and ALSIA) is for us a concrete recognition of the quality of the project: not just an award, but access to resources, mentors and field trials that accelerate technical and commercial development.
What we talked about
Startup Italia reports Trace Technologies among the three startups that won the Co‑Innovation Award with the Wine Tech project and the Vigneto Sicuro app. The team composed of Marco Ferrante, Carlo Capretta, Fabio Di Gaetano and the Argoserv by Sandhills Italy group obtained:
- a grant of EUR 20 000;
- a 3-month acceleration programme with mentors from PoliHub and Joule;
- the possibility of starting a trial with Asso Fruit Italia to test the prevention of downy mildew on table grapes in Basilicata.
Why is it important
- Industrial validation: the recognition by ENI/Joule and the Politecnico di Milano confirms technological excellence and suitability for open innovation in the agro-industrial sector.
- Access to partners and customers: the collaboration with Asso Fruit Italia offers the opportunity to test the platform in real production contexts with companies that can become customers.
- Concrete acceleration: The grant and structured mentor program accelerate both the team's technology roadmap and go‑to‑market expertise.
Communication strengths
- Relevance of the partner: ENI and Politecnico di Milano give institutional and industrial weight to the recognition.
- Connection R&D‑market: the possibility to experiment directly with producers consolidates the practical approach of the startup.
- Impact narrative: The award highlights the startup's ability to propose useful solutions for strategic Italian agricultural supply chains.
A thank you
We thank Joule (ENI), Politecnico di Milano, PoliHub, ALSIA and Asso Fruit Italia for the recognition and the opportunity to experiment in the field. The award reinforces our desire to develop practical and scalable solutions for the phytosanitary protection of vines.
